Bio

Sandi Barden
   Living Water Studio

Sandi was born and raised in North Carolina. Her art is her refuge, her spirit, her God given gift. Majestic and meticulously detailed, each piece is intensely personal and a reflection of her love of nature, animals and the depth of her soul.

After many lifetimes, careers and paths, including raising Arabian horses, two wonderful children, Irish setters and much, much more she returned home and devoted herself exclusively to her art.

People are often surprised to learn that Sandi has been working and displaying her art in Seagrove for over a decade. Perhaps that is due in part to the extreme originality of her work and the inability to pigeonhole it into any category.  Her recent rebound from a life threatening illness, which left her unable to create for a year, has unexpectedly infused her art with a renewed sense of passion and productivity.

Sandi attended formal schooling at The Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL and Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC, but she clearly is capable of teaching us all about the beauty to be found in life.

"I try to combine all aspects of line, color and sculpture in my pots. I always feel the presence of God in creativity."---Sandi Barden

Sandi welcomes commissions and is able to show larger pieces by appointment. You can contact her at 910-975-3125 or 336-307-3152 or by email at sbz@rtmc.net.
